Bob Corcoran
Financial Advisor
Bob’s goal is to make a difference in the lives he touches, by enabling clients who need and want his help to protect themselves and their loved ones. Bob’s unique ability is analyzing his client's complex and confusing circumstances, finding the best solution for that client, and communicating the results in ways his client can both understand and act upon.
In his role as a Financial Advisor, Bob works with successful individuals and businesses. For businesses, Bob helps design and implement retirement plans (from SIMPLE IRA's to 401k's to "nonqualified" plans), business succession plans, and selective benefits. For individuals, Bob has, for a number of years, acted as an "advanced case specialist", assisting colleagues and their clients with complex planning issues, including estate planning, charitable giving, and retirement income planning. In particular, Bob has specialized training and has experience working closely with Special Needs individuals and their families.
Bob graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame in 1975, and earned his MBA from Duquesne University in 1982.
Bob is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners; he serves as a member of the Planned Giving Advisory Board of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs, also serving as a member of the PICPA’s Practitioners' Conference Committee.
Bob is, also, a Founding Board Member and currently Secretary of TC House, Inc., (a 501(c)(3) organization), a home built for young adults with Down Syndrome.
